Festival Dollars at Work: Mount Angel Chamber of Commerce Donates an amount of $17,840 in Equipment and $5,000 in a cash donation to support the 2026 Mount Angel Flower Basket Program.

Mount Angel, Oregon — Dated: May 6, 2026

The Mount Angel Chamber of Commerce has formally transferred ownership of its flower basket equipment to the City of Mount Angel, representing a TOTAL net contribution of $22,840($17,840 of equipment and $5,000 cash paid to Fessler’s nursery for this year’s flower contribution) in support of the City’s longstanding Mount Angel Flower Basket Program. The equipment — including flower pot hangers, brackets, and flower boxes installed throughout the community — has an estimated fair market value of $17,840. The Chamber sold the equipment to the City for $100, resulting in a substantial in-kind contribution to ensure the program’s long term sustainability.

“For many years, the Chamber has proudly supported Mount Angel’s flower basket displays as part of our commitment to community beautification and tourism,” said Heidi Hammack, President of the Mount Angel Chamber of Commerce. “Transferring ownership to the City ensures this program remains a permanent and well-supported part of our downtown and community identity.”

Under the approved agreement, the City of Mount Angel will assume full responsibility for the maintenance, replacement, and insurance of the equipment going forward. Any future cash contributions from the Chamber to the Mount Angel Flower Basket Program will be contingent upon the availability of funds in the Chamber’s annual budget and subject to annual approval by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.

City officials expressed appreciation for the Chamber’s contribution and continued partnership. The transfer formalizes the partnership between the Chamber and the City and secures the future of the Mount Angel Flower Basket Program for years to come.
