A Note of Thanks

Our 4th of July parade & fireworks show was unlike any other. It was amazing and I would like to thank a few people:

Thanks to Mt. Angel Public Works for working on a holiday and providing road barriers and closure signage.

Thanks to the Mt. Angel Police Department for helping with crowd control during the parade, their presence prior to the fireworks show and traffic control after the show.

To our American Legion Post No. 89 - you looked sharp leading the parade! Special thanks to JB Leahy for coordinating the military vehicles and organizing the flyover, which is always a crowd favorite.

Thanks to the Kennedy cross country team for volunteering. A great group of youths who helped stage the parade and assist with parking in the evening. Thanks to Steve Ritchie for coming back another year to help with parking. And special thanks to Luka Bauman who stepped up and took the volunteer leadership role for the day.

To all the parade participants - thank you for registering early, arriving at the staging area early and having patience as the parking area started to fill up and beyond capacity.

We are grateful for all our sponsors and donors. We thank you for your continued generosity. And thanks to all those who donated the night of the fireworks show!

Thank you to the pyrotechnics team and first responders who took care of lighting the fireworks and keeping us safe.

The biggest thank you is to event chair and Chamber board member, Brian Halverson. This is his 10th year chairing the event. Thank you for the best 250th Independence Day party - it was outstanding!
